part of scientific collaboration between La Sapienza and the prestigious Harvard Medical School and the Massacchussets General Hospital in Boston, the teachers, Roberto Delfini Neurosurgery and Antonino Raco arranged a meeting with colleagues at Harvard, considered among the leading international experts in the field.
The event will be opportunity to discuss news of the surgical treatment of gliomas and the preliminary results of clinical trials underway at the Harvard Brain Cancer Center and the Neuro-oncology service of Wisdom coordinated by Maurizio Salvati.
The conference will also present the new frontiers of gene therapy and pharmacological treatment of glioblastoma cancer stem cells. Intervene in the debate Robert L. Martuza, professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard and inventor of the gene therapy of gliomas , Jay Loeffler, director of the famous center of Proton Beam Therapy, Tracy Todd Batchelor, professor of Oncology at Harvard and world expert on chemotherapy of brain tumors and Lawrence F. Borges, a professor of spine surgery at Harvard.
