Finally we in India and here I am finally writing my first post from the rainy India. Yes, here is the monsoon, but thank goodness in Mysore is never very strong as we know it can be. This morning at 6.15 we started the practice in Yoga Shala of Guruji, but unfortunately because of his health problems Pattabhi Jois may not be very present at the classes, but sometimes shows up and leads the class on Friday or Sunday. Not bad for his nearly 92 years.
There are about eighty students from all over the world and we meet him so many dear friends with whom we had a great time here in Mysore the past years.
Having come from a few days, we're still settling in and trying to enter the Indian rhythms. For now we are hosted by a dear friend, Joseph has a beautiful house with great willingness and patience keeps us with him. Soon we hope to find housing for a year requires a bit 'longer than usual. Here many houses are available because the Indians, who are Tricky, they understood the business and have built a lot, knowing that for several months a year they could rent houses to students of yoga to much higher figures for the Indians, but rather low for us Westerners, and this makes it easy to find a house.
here are really well organized on several fronts regarding the services to Western students. Do you rent the scooter, you change money, make you eat, you clean house, you wash and you stretch, in fact you can find everything, even the organic bread out of the yogashala, freshly made tofu and more. In fact come to Mysore is very simple, if only for the ease with which you find the things you need and more.
Currently about yoga, both I and we are settling in Dalton, before you get to feel completely ready for practice, must spend at least one week and then we can begin to feel good, and from there you will finally do yoga it should be, dedicated to the practice and understanding, and working heavily on this, it will be a great experience.
Tomorrow we will visit the school in Dalton and so create the first real contact with this new reality and detail of his life.
